MAZARIN VASE

I INTENDED TO USE THE MAZARIN- A VERY OLD DIAMOND CUT- IN A NON-JEWELRY SETTING, AND DESIGN A FUNCTIONAL OBJECT WITH IT. THE DIAMOND-LIKE COLOR AND BRILLIANCE OF CUT GLASS PROVIDED FOR THE PERFECT MATERIAL FOR MY IDEA OF MAZARIN CUT VASE.

LEAF VASES

I DESIGNED THREE TYPES OF CESM-I BULBUL INSPIRED BY THE LEAVES OF TREES, WHICH I MOST COMMONLY COME ACROSS IN MY DAILY LIFE: THE PLANE, ARABIAN JASMINE AND MAGNOLIA. I IMAGINED THREE FORMS, WHICH ARE UNLIKE CONVENTIONAL CESM-I BULBUL, AND WHICH EMBED THE DIVERSITY OF THE FORMS OF THESE LEAVES, AND REFLECT THEIR COLORFULNESS, AS THEY TURN FROM YELLOW TO ORANGE, AND EVEN RED IN SUMMER AND THE FALL.
