‘THE İNCEBELLI’

THE LEVEL OF CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL RIGIDNESS OF THE FORM AND CONNOTATIONS OF AN OBJECT DETERMINES THE LIMITS OF POTENTIAL RE-INTERPRETATIONS TO ITS FORM. THIS RESTRICTIVENESS LEADS THE DESIGNER TO A QUEST FOR UNIVERSALLY ACCEPTABLE RESPONSES/REACTIONS FOR POSSIBLE MODIFICATIONS TO THAT OBJECT.

* THE WORD “INCEBELLI” REFERS TO THE TRADITIONAL TURKISH TEA GLASS THAT RESEMBLES THE FORM OF A TULIP.
